I don't think 10k subscribers would really stretch the infrastructure so much, judging by the number of views on floatplane I'd say there might as well be more than 10k people subscribed to LTT Floatplane already. They have bitwit kyle and now there's another new known guy on floatplane, but these are both relatively 'small' youtubers (kyle only passed 1m subscribers) so it's less of a risk for Floatplane. because it could cost floatplane over $10-20k in server rental costs and bandwidth costs. You can't get someone like pewdiepie use Floatplane and bring let's say 10k new subscribers for $30k a month income to LTT, with maybe $5-10k profit for LTT after paying pewdiepie the rest. They'll open Floatplane to others gradually as they expand the infrastructure and the new subscriptions pay the bills.
